Relax in the Sun!

Morning -  Its Dr Digi time! We have had a little sun yesterday so we've been busy in the garden. Hopeful it may be nice today so I can lounge like our Deirdery is doing with her jug of cocktail.  Just click on her name to be taken to the digital image at the shop.

I used paper from Doodlebug Fun in the sun collection and also Doodlebug letters on the Banner. The banner is a die-namics die cut from My Favourite things dots & stripes Sorbet collection. I stuck Deirdery and the banner on with 3d foam for some definition.
I mounted the panel on blue bazzill and added a little Cinnamon stickles to the coconuts and Turquoise stickles to the wave. Finally I added glaze to Deirdrey's glasses, drink and jug to give them a glass effect.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique white, blush, soft peach, coral, spice with baby pink cheeks.
Hair  -Cool grey 1, 2 & 4
Swimsuit - Cerise, Shocking Pink & Vermillion. White spots.
Glass - Cool Aqua
Lounger -  Caramel, Cinnamon, Chestnut & Cocoa.
Towel & Umbrella - Lemon & Canary
Cocktail & Umbrella - Orange & Bright orange.

I didn't use much else on this card - the polaroid is from La De Dah which I got from Hobbycraft. I used some acetate within the frame to make the image look like a photograph and finally just cut some scrap black card in to triangles to give that old fashioned photograph look.

I kept my card pretty simple and printed the image out on Kraft card and coloured her using Prismacolor pencils. I added a little purple ribbon and knotted a Butterfly charm onto it.
I then decided to try Stampendous Frantage... should really have tried this out on a practice first to know what I was doing but no... I dived straight in and ended up blowing most of it away with the heat gun!! Finally I added a wooden word embellishment  to tie everything together.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Thanks for popping by - and be quick as the celebration finish late today!!

Marvelous Iron Dan

Morning -
Today's card for the Doctor Digi DT is using Iron Dan. I wanted to do a night scene with this image so I used a black card base which I cut into a round shape.

I added the letters which were from Hobbycraft to create the Marvelous pun (Get it?? Iron Man is a Marvel character... Too geeky??!)

Where're we goin?

Hello -
The new challenge begins at The Paper Shelter today and the theme is Holidays. I have wanted to colour this image for a while as I think its really pretty so today you see Where're we goin .
This is the first time I have coloured an image using Prismacolor pencils and I think I am in love with them! My thought process went a little like this.... Holiday... travel... postcards... luggage tags.... kraft...and the only thing that will colour on Kraft is Pencils. So I jumped right to it and just gave them a go. I'm very happy with the result considering I've never used them before.

I used patterned paper from Simple Stories Vintage Bliss collection which I trimed the edge from a 6x6 piece and used the spare at the bottom. To cover the gap I used some lace and a strip of watercolor wash paper from My Favourite things. I used the same paper in an embossing folder to create the Postcard. I used the same lace to add detail to the tag and glued a co-ordinating resin flower to cover the join. The heart stickers and Enjoy Tag are from the same Simple storied collection. The final little detail I added was to used a Gold pen to colour the corners of the case and the buckles.

There are great prizes at The Paper Shelter challenge

I cut all the flags from Echo Park I Love Summer collection and mounted the Flip flop sticker onto Black card and mounted them on 3D before I cut the edge of the card around them.

All dressed Up - Best Teacher Ever,

Evening folks. I am currently sat writing this with a belly full of food after eating some Pork, Cranberry and Rosemary Sausages with Mash, Gravy and Peas!! Just had to share that!! Its our village festival this weekend so I ventured to the Farmers market and got those bad boys!! They are huge too - I only managed one. So now I am washing my dinner down with a glass of red wine whilst I indulge my second favourite past time - Crafting! (First is eating... Ha!)

Today is the start of a new challenge at All Dressed Up - You can enter with any All Dressed up image for a chance to win. I have used an image called Best Teacher Ever.

The background paper is from Simple Stories Snap 6x6 pad. I die cut the star paper from Echo Park Techer's Pet collection using a large stitched circle die. I cut around the image and attached him to the card with 3D foam. I used a little gaze on his eyes and used wooden textured paper on the desk. Finally I added the Thank You greeting from Pebbles.
I am going to make a few Teacher Thank you cards and so left the bottom fairly empty so it could be personalised with the teachers name.

I used these promarkers and Flexmarkers -
Skin - Coral, Soft peach, Blush & Antique White with Baby pink cheeks.
Hat & Shirt - Cool Greys.
Eyes & cup - Powder & Sky blue.
Tie - Canary yellow.
Apples - Red, Poppy, Ruby & Burgandy.
Desk - Champagne & Tan.

I hope you like this and if anyone wants a personalised card with a name on - give me a shout. Leave  comment here or on my facebook page.

Thanks
