Edna loves Ice Cream

Hello - My post to day is one of those rare "just for fun" cards. Don't get me wrong I love making any cards, stroking my paper collection and colouring the images is my favourite way of passing a day! But ... often my cards are determined or at least guided by a challenge theme or a DT creation. This is a very good thing for me as otherwise I do get overwhelmed by my ever growing stash of crafty goodness so please don't think I am complaining - I am definitely not. Some guidance of a colour scheme or a layout is always helpful in getting the creative juices flowing!

This stamping company - Stamping Bella are one of my (Many!?!) weaknesses - so it was a pleasure to create this card just because I could! I had the new image to play with and time to play. She is called Edna loved Ice Cream.

I used these fab shaped based cards from Create and Craft TV and cut panel from the Crate Paper Hello Love. I  mounted this on to My Favourite Things paper Dots & Stripes Sorbet collection (Another favourite... anyone else buy two of the same pads just to make sure you have enough??) and to make the most of it I die cut the circle from the middle of the panel using a Lawn Fawn stitched circle die. I also used a Nestibilities die to cut the scalloped circle from the same paper collection and added to this a Craftworks card Happy Birthday greeting.
I glued a thin pink ribbon across the top and made a little hand tied bow - below which I added three yellow doodlebug enamel dots. Finally I added some diamond stickles onto the coloured image to make her wings sparkle.

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice with Baby Pink cheeks.
Top, shoes & cherry -  Red, Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy.
Hair & Ice Cream -  Primrose, Buttercup, Pineapple Crush & Sleigh Bells.
Skirt  & Sauce - Pink Mittens, Baby Pink & Carmine.
Cream - Powder blue shading.
Glass -  Aquamarine - Blended and layered

I hope you like Edna and my card. I can't wait to colour her again for more creations.

Luckily the Dr has decided to release loads of new Christmas image early and so jump starting my christmas card creation. This cheeky chap is call Elvis the Elf. Morning all
Its a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter and the theme is "BACK TO SCHOOL." I have used an image called She is adorable.

Finally I added some colour co-ordinating enamel dots.

Have a Blast.

Hello! I'm all ready with my post this morning - in fact I am writing this on Saturday night whilst eating chocolate and drinking red wine! As tomorrow when this goes live I will be in work (boo!!)

So here is my DT card for Dr Digi using Retro rocket. I'm not sure this photo shows it very well but the rocket is attached to a stripe of acetate so it appears to be flying. I love these quirky extra bits and bobs as they can be used for some many different ways. I've used the rocket with a stamp from Waltzing Mouse Stamps Half Pint Heroes collection for the greeting.

The paper is from Bo Bunny Blast Off collection and I covered the round card base with  paper from Bo Bunny Blast off collection. I die cut the yellow moon paper using Lawn Fawn stitched hillside boarder and embossed it using a cuttlebug folder. I used silver pen and also some white pen to add some shine.

I used these promarkers to colour the rocket -
Ice grey 1 to 5.
Red, Poppy & Ruby.
Powder Blue.
Canary, Gold, Orange & Bright orange.

Why don't you have mooch around all the Bits and Bobs for sale on the website - see what inspiration you get and funky ways to use things!

See you soon,

Happy Camper

Hi-di-hi Campers!
Today I am very late posting my weekly DT card for Dr Digi but it's a brand new image that I have been playing with and I love it!
Instantly I knew I had to do a tent fold 3d card to go with the image so here is my Happy Camper using The Great Outdoors.

I used lots of dies to give the dimension - The first lot were the stitched hillside boarder dies from Lawn Fawn which I seem to be using on everything at the mo! The Tree boarder in the middle section and the "HAPPY" are also from Lawn Fawn. The Trees are a My Favourite things die as are the letters used to cut out "camper" in kraft card.

The papers are all from Bella Blvd "Lets go camping collection" and I was just waiting for the perfect image to use them with! The green striped paper is also Bella Blvd Color chaos in Green. The blue shimmering water is just paper I had in my stash box - as are the other bits I used on the trees (See hoarding scraps can be useful!!)

To colour the image I used these promarkers & flexmarkers-

Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft peach, Coral and spice.
Tent - Honeycomb, Gold, Pumpkin & Bright Orange.
Gas bottle and shorts - Powder blue, China Blue and Twilight sky.
Pan and Moutache - Warm Greys
Flip flops and bottle - Leaf green, Forest green & Pine green
Pegs & Pan handle - Caramel & Cocoa
Top -  Lemon, Canary & Sleigh bells.
Head Scarf - Poppy & Burgandy.
Socks - Soft Khaki & Khaki.

The Most Adorable Jellyfishes.

Hello - Here is my newest DT card for the current challenge at The Paper Shelter using this fab image called The Most Adorable Jellyfishes.
The theme is Punches and Dies so I went to town building my little underwater scene for my Jellies.

The paper is from a collection called Mermaid tails from Kaisercraft and it is actually more blue than my picture which seems to make it look quite grey! The dies and punches are from a selection of Sizzix, Marianne Designs, Friskars but my favourite is the Anchor dies from Lawn Fawn which I cut from Silver Mirri card and tied with some twine. All the coral and seaweed was cut from Doodlebut glitter card.

I decided to use a round card base so it matched the bubbles. I coloured the image and then handcut around it. I cut a strip of acetate and attached one end to the Jellyfish so they appear to be floating. Finally I added a little Diamond stickles to the jellyfish and a few dots on the base card to sparkle like water.
It was a really lovely image to colour and I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Bubbles - Powder blue, Sky blue & touch of lilac.
Big Jelly - Soft Lime, Lime Zest, Lime Twist, Lime Green & Pear green.
Little Jelly - Pink Mittens, Baby Pink & Cerise. Touch of Lilac.
Fishes - Gold & Canary.

Happy Birthday Birdie.

Hello - Its time for a new challenge at I love Promarkers. And this fortnights sponsor is Little Miss Muffett and I was lucky enough to pick one of the images for the DT and I chose  Polka Dot Pals Rebecca.  I just loved this little girl with the Parrot.

The paper is from a pad I got from The Range and the birds have  a lovely glittery shimmer to them. The spotty paper is from a pad of Studio Calico called Print shop. The ribbon is from my stash and matched perfectly the mirri card that I used with the Happy Birthday die cut from Paper smooches. Finally I cut around the image and added a little resin bird in the top corner.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique white, coral, soft peach, Blush, & Spice with baby pink cheeks.
Hair -  Primrose, lemon, canary & mustard.
cardigan -  Pink Mittens & Baby pink
Trousers -  Apple cider, apple, green shoots & Honeydew.
