Easter Bunnies

Morning -
Today is the start of a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme is Easter Time. I have used this fab image called Little Easter Bunnies.  And nothing says Spring and Easter like bright sunny colours!!

I cut a panel of the Egg patterned paper from an Echo Park pad called Celebrate Easter and glued this to the base card. I doodled a boarder around this with a thin black liner pen. I die cut the image panel using a Double stitched Oval Die from My Favourite things. Over this I also added a die cut cloud edge panel using swiss dot bazill card. I tied some red twine around the card and added a little butterfly charm. I then also added a few little resin butteflies and stamped "Happy Easter" using Lawn Fawn Harolds ABC stamps to finish the card off.

I used these promarkers and flex markers to colour the image -
Bunnies - Warm Grey 2 & 3 with Baby Pink.
Egg - Soft Lime, Lemon, Canary, Yellow & Tulip yellow.
Paint - Baby Pink, Carmine & Magenta.
Grass - Pear Green, Lime Green, Lime Twist, Lime Zest & Aniseed.
Brush - Cinamon, Cocoa & Champagne.
Bow tie and sky - Turquoise & Oasis

I hope you get chance to join the challenge and use the DT cards for inspiration and just look at the value of the prize!! How fab is that??

Friends & Fairies

Hello - Today is the start of a new challenge at I Love Promarkers and the theme this fortnight is Angels & Fairies. The sponsor offering the prize digis is Bugaboo  and I have used an image called Kidz fairy sitter.
I reverted to type this week and went bold and bright with a bit of quirky edge with a circular base card.

I covered the base card with Doodlebug papers called Colorwheel and cut the greetings panel from the same collection. I mounted this onto black card and used a corner punch to round the edges. I added some co-ordinating flowers from my stash and attached black gems into the middle of them. I covered the wings in clear Wink of Stella and attached a little black Onxy liquid pearls into the middle of the flower on the greeting.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image-
Skin - Usual
Hair - Buttercup, Summer Sun & Gold
Tights - Bright orange & Mandarin, Wild Orchid & Red Violet.
Top - Pink Lobster & Vermillion
Wings - Pastel Green & Frosted Jade
Skirt - Lime Zest, Lime Green, Grass & Emerald.

I hope you like her and I would love to see all your entries into the challenge for a chance to win these ace digis!
Take care,

I tied some red twine around the top and tied a bow which I then added a little heart too which is from Make it Crafty. Finally I used Harold ABC stamps from Lawn Fawn to spell out the "Thanks Mum".

Anna's Birthday Card

 Hi -
There is a new challenge starting over at the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog - This is my DT card.
I was asked by a friend to make a birthday card for her Daughters 17th birthday- sadly around the same time there lovely dog George died and I was asked to include a little dog on this image called
Mirror Mirror from All Dressed Up. I added the dog to the image in photoshop - this one isn't
actually available anymore but you could easily use the dog from the Time for Walkies image.

I used a My Favourite Things scalloped edge die to cut the image panel and mounted the pattern paper from Dear Lizzie 5th & Frolick behind it. I then mounted the whole lot onto pink satin card and added the Gold letters and hearts from Maggie Holmes alphabet.
I cut the top from a Craftworks card greeting and mounted this onto the pink card also and coloured the mirror frame using a gold pen.

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin -Antique white, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Hair - Cocoa, Henna & Walnut.
Mirror & table - Blue Greys 2 & 4
Trousers - Pastel Green, Aquamarine & Soft Green.

Away with the Fairies.

Morning -
Today is the start of a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme is "Away with the Fairies". I have used this fab image called Pure Innocence and tried to keep it muted tones rather than my usual style of all out bright but it was so difficult!!

The patterned papers I have used are from My Minds Eye Cut & Paste pad and I used some navy Bazzill to mount the image and also to die cut some scalloped edges using a My Favourite Things die. I also used a double stitched die to cut the image out in the oval shape.
I used a greeting panel from Craftworks Card and used a matching promarker to colour the greeting before also mounting this on to the Navy. I added a Petaloo Sweet Petites flower to a small hand cut flag in the top corner that I attached with 3d foam to give some depth.
I have put a side view in to show the Wink Of Stella clear pen that I have used over the Fairy Wings and also on the butterflies. This angle makes it shimmer a little more.

I u. sed these promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Usual
Hair - Blue Grey 1,2 & 4, powder blue & cloud blue.
Dress, wings & butterflies - Fresh Bloom, Pastel Pink & Heatwave

The challenge at The Paper Shelter is on now and just look at the prizes available...

Happy Birthday Dad.

Morning - March is both Dads birthdays so I get to think of more ideas for the men. Today I am showing you the card I made for Bens dad's birthday. We have been teasing him that he is becoming a grumpy old man so Happy Hour Horace from Dr Digi was perfect.

I played with my Prismacolour pencils to make this card after printing the image onto Kraft card base. The only other thing I added was a Happy Birthday clear sticker greeting from Kaisercraft and some large letters from Doodlebug to spell out "Dad".

I didn't record what colour pencils I used as I was just playing around with them but pretty pleased with the colour coverage - I just need to perfect my blending a bit more I think. I need to do the Kit & Clowder pencil class.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Thanks for popping in - Don't forget to say Hi - AND we still have the little competition running at Dr Digi Facebook page....

Teamwork.

Morning -
Today is the start of a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme is Animal Magic. I have used this fab image called Teamwork.

I printed my image and coloured it in with Promarkers before I die cut the edge with a My Favourite Things scalloped stitched edge die. To the side of this I cut a piece of striped grey paper from My Minds eye Necessity pad. I mounted it all onto Green satin card - you can't tell from this pic but it is even all the way around (My issue with balance would not allow it to be otherwise!!) But because I have raised the coloured image panel up using 3d foam - it is hidden a little! I tied neutral  twine around the entire panel before I glued it down. I then added some Heart from Wycinanka which I coloured using Promakers. I also did this on the "Believe" which is from Make it Crafty. I have to say I am a little bit obsessed with these double layered words!! Finally I added a little flag of green ribbon and a little Wooden embellishment from My Minds Eye.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Tree - Sandstone, Cinnamon, Cocoa, Walnut & Henna.
Grass - Leaf Green, Grass,  Emerald, Lush Green & Forest.
Pandas - Black & Blue Greys with Cocktail Pink ears & feet.
Bamboo - Linen & Forest Green.
Hearts - Red & Carmine.
Believe - Leaf Green, Grass & Emerald with Blue Grey 5 as base layer.
Finally I edged the entire image with Powder Blue which I then blended in to give a soft finish.
